Milkshakes for Miracles

UMaine Phi Mu's fall philanthropy event, Milkshakes for Miracles, benefits Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Our members will be producing a variety of milkshakes. There are also reusable cups and straws available! Please join us in supporting Children's Miracle Network Hospitals!

Every year Phi Mu participates in a 12 hour dance marathon to help raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Last year the University of Maine community helped raise $70,599.99 for CMNH. Every year we are paired with Ryan, he was born with a genetic syndrome and a cleft palate. Now five years old Ryan has had two surgeries to repair his cleft palate and goes to the hospital frequently for testing and cancer screenings, as his genetic syndrome increases his risk. Although Ryan as so much going on in his life he stays positive. He loves going to school, running around with his friends and is very found of my Little Pony. Through out the night we would take a break from dancing to listen to the inspiring stories from these children and their families. While every campus philanthropy event is important to Phi Mu, this one in particular was close to our heart as all the proceeds go to Phi Mu’s national philanthropy making the night an even more enjoyable experience.
